Welcome back to yet another new an exciting year! We are very excited to announce that our blog is finally underway, which means you can all now catch a glimpse into the exciting..... and sometimes mysterious lives of year two/three students in their natural habitat of Room Ten! We hope you enjoy coming on the journey with us, and who knows.....we may even teach you a thing or two!
Since we have already been pretty busy this term.....here is a quick catch up of what we have been upto so far!
In the first week, Room Ten had a great time creating 'digi art' pieces of our summer holidays. We all had a go a writing an extremely detailed recount of our holiday adventures. Then we had to choose one activity that we enjoyed the most and pose like we were doing this activity, while a partner took a photo with the iPad. We then printed our pictures and drew in the backgrounds for our 'digi art' pieces. Mrs M was pretty impressed with the amount of detail we included and our careful colouring!
Charli had a great time at the Zoo!
Taj loved playing with his new lego!
Blake had a great time at the cinema!
Jayden just loved crabbing..(and eating them!)
Jake tried his hand at fishing.
Oliver also spent a bit of time fishing on the boat.
Owen stayed down south with his family.
Samson saw some interesting dinosaur bones at the Museum.
We have also spent a lot of time getting used to the new routines in Room Ten. One of the things we really look forward to is the mental warm up games that Mrs M has taught us.
Salute is one of our favourites! Here's how to play:
You need 3 players and a deck of cards (remove all face cards).
The deck of cards sits face down between players. Decide who will start as the 'adder'. The other two players pick a card off the deck and hold it up to their forehead without looking at their own card. The adder then adds both players cards together and announces the total. The players holding the cards to their foreheads must then work out what their own card is by looking at the other persons card and knowing the total. the first player that correctly calls out the card number is the winner. Here are some pictures of us playing salute!
We hope you have enjoyed our first blog post!
Talented Room Ten!
